How do I find repeated words in a document?
Paste the text and repeated words are listed with their counts and positions. It catches both accidental doubles — the classic "the the" that survives proofreading because the eye skips it — and words you have leaned on too heavily across a draft.
Why does over-repetition matter for SEO?
Repeating a target term far above natural frequency reads as keyword stuffing, which Google's spam policies name explicitly. More practically it reads badly to humans, and unnatural phrasing is now one of the clearer signals of low-quality generated text.
Does it ignore common words?
You can exclude stop words so that "the", "and" and "of" do not swamp the results. Turn them back on when hunting for accidental doubles, since those are exactly the words that get duplicated.
Is it case sensitive?
Matching is case-insensitive by default, so "The" and "the" count together — usually what you want for frequency analysis. For adjacent duplicates the position is reported so you can see the actual casing in context.
