Merge PDF: limits and things worth knowing

• Text stays selectable and searchable. The pages are copied at the object level rather than re-rendered as images, so fonts, links and text layers survive the merge.
• Drag the files into the order you want before merging — the order in the list is the order in the output, not the order you added them.
• Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first; a password-protected file cannot be read by any merge tool until it is decrypted.
• Merging does not re-compress. The output size is roughly the sum of the inputs, so run Compress PDF afterwards if you are up against an attachment limit.
• There is no file count or size limit imposed by the tool. The practical ceiling is your device's memory, so very large jobs go better on a computer than a phone.

Is it private and secure?
