What people use Random Line Picker for

  • Drawing a winner from a list of giveaway entries.
  • Selecting a random sample from a list for review.
  • Picking an item at random from a shortlist.

Random Line Picker: limits and things worth knowing

  • Selection uses the browser's cryptographically secure random number generator rather than Math.random, which matters when the outcome is a prize draw.
  • Duplicate entries in the source raise that entrant's chance proportionally. Deduplicate first unless multiple entries are intended to count.
  • Picking several lines without replacement means no entry is drawn twice; with replacement, repeats are possible.
  • The draw happens on your device, so the entrant list is never transmitted — and nobody, including us, can influence or observe the result.

Is it private and secure?

Your privacy is built in. Random Line Picker runs completely on your device, so whatever you enter stays in your browser and is never transmitted, logged or stored on any server.

Network activity: none. Nothing is sent and nothing is fetched. This tool makes no network request at all once the page has loaded — which is why it keeps working if your connection drops.

You do not have to take that on trust — our privacy proof page publishes the Content-Security-Policy that enforces it, lists every third party it permits, and shows how to verify the whole claim yourself.
