Text Case Converter: limits and things worth knowing
- Title case is a style convention, not a rule. AP, Chicago and MLA disagree about which short words to capitalise, so no converter matches every style guide.
- Sentence case is safer for headings in most modern editorial styles and is easier to read, which is why most design systems now prefer it.
- Converting all-caps text to lower case cannot restore proper nouns, since the information was destroyed when it was capitalised. Sentence case will get 'I' and the first word right and little else.
- Some languages have case rules that do not map onto English conventions — German capitalises all nouns, and Turkish has a dotted and dotless i that convert differently.
Is it private and secure?
Your privacy is built in. Text Case Converter runs completely on your device, so whatever you enter stays in your browser and is never transmitted, logged or stored on any server.
Network activity: none. Nothing is sent and nothing is fetched. This tool makes no network request at all once the page has loaded — which is why it keeps working if your connection drops.
You do not have to take that on trust — our privacy proof page publishes the Content-Security-Policy that enforces it, lists every third party it permits, and shows how to verify the whole claim yourself.
